Massive Work Studio launches Kickstarter for cosmic horror action-RPG Dolmen

-

There’s a new Soulsborne-inspired cosmic horror action-RPG potentially on the horizon, full of nightmarish creatures hell-bent on ending your journey. It all depends on the success of the Kickstarter, which is now live for interested gamers to show their support for Dolmen.

In Dolmen, you awake below the surface of Revion Prime — the location of the greatest recorded massacre in galactic history – in environments inspired by the work of macabre artists like H.R. Giger and H.P. Lovecraft. With no answers as to how you got there, or what happened to your crew, it is up to you to discover the secrets that Revion Prime holds; prepare to face unforgiving, hellish creatures along the way. You’ll be able to experience intense combat with various types of melee weapons and moves as you attack, block and dodge, attempting to escape from the enemies as well as trying to do damage to them. It sounds terrifying, but there’s also sure to be plenty of interesting lore present to discover along the way.

To enable the horrifically enjoyable nightmare that is Dolmen to become a reality, the studio behind it – Massive Work Studio – has set a $90,000 USD Kickstarter goal, targeting a release for early 2019 on Steam for Windows PC, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions launching at a later date – there’s even hope for a release on Nintendo Switch too if the stretch goal is met. Backers of the campaign will receive immediate access to the Alpha preview, their name in the credits, some one-of-a-kind swag, and at the higher tiers, the opportunity to help design in-game props, weapons and armour.

Like the idea of Dolmen? Then don’t forget to head on over to its Kickstarter page to find out more details and check out how you can get involved by backing it.
