The old school vibes of the 8-Bit RTS Series return, with the medieval madness of 8-Bit Hordes out now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, following in the footsteps of the previously released 8-Bit Armies. It’s time to venture into battle and wreak havoc with all sorts of mythical creatures!
In 8-Bit Hordes players will be able to command enormous armies of mythical, and fantastical, medieval beasts from either of the two factions featured – the DeathSworn and the Lightbringers. The DeathSworn tend to have those with more of a dark side amongst their ranks; the likes of fiery Dragons, terrifying Cyclops and wicked Wraiths. On the other hand, the Lightbringers are able to call upon brave sorceresses, tough Treants and incredibly fierce Phoenixes. It’s up to you which of these factions you wish to take into the real-time strategy action.
The simplistic controls in place should make it easy for players of all skill levels to manage when building massive bases, summoning and commanding colossal armies, and leaving the enemy’s realm in tatters. You’ll be dominating the battlefield in no time.
8-Bit Hordes is available right now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with Xbox folk like ourselves needing to visit the Xbox Store to purchase it for £26.79, although there is a little launch discount initially in place. If you can convince a friend to grab 8-Bit Hordes too, the campaign can be played in co-op and the option is included to take them on one versus one.
