Bigben and Eko Software have already introduced the soldier and the mage to the masses, but now it’s time for a new Warhammer: Chaosbane video with the dwarf Slayer taking his place in the spotlight.

Meet Bragi Axebiter, the dwarf Slayer who’s taken the oath of the slayer, thus vowing to cleanse his honour by facing death in combat against a formidable adversary. He’s an exceptional warrior and one of the four playable characters you’ll be able to get your hands on in Warhammer: Chaosbane, ready to take on any powerful enemies that he stumbles upon. As an expert in hand-to-hand combat, Bragi benefits greatly from a high degree of mobility which allows him to launch into the heart of a melee in order to eliminate a particular target in his path.

This ease of movement is augmented by the dwarf’s unique ability to throw his axe and launch himself at whatever it’s stuck in; whether that’s a wall or a Nurgling. He can then rain down blows upon his target before jumping to the next enemy. When playing cooperatively with other people, he’s the perfect character for eliminating a dangerous enemy who’s far from the conflict, while the other teammates take care of the front line.

There’s a really unique game mechanic in Warhammer: Chaosbane too, which can be activated by all four playable characters after filling up a Bloodlust meter by slaying enemies. Once it’s full, the player can then unleash their rage and activate new ultra-powerful skills. His worship of Grimnir, the Slayers’ ancestral god, enables Bragi Axebiter access to a unique skilltree of overpowered spells.

Warhammer: Chaosbane is bringing players into the heart of the Old World to hack and slash the Chaos for a bloody encounter on 4th June for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Those of you who are super eager can order the special Magnus Edition to get stuck in a little earlier on 31st May. You’ll have to just settle with a cool new video for now though…
