We’ve had the bandicoot try his luck and that damn blue hedgehog just won’t stop popping up. Now though it’s time for a new karting experience, one which is fuelled by those of the feline variety. Are you ready for Meow Motors on Xbox One?
Available to purchase and download on Xbox One right this very minute is the latest kart racer in town – Meow Motors. Following on from a release on PS4 and PC in recent times, and hot on the heels of Team Sonic Racing and Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled over the last few months, Meow Motors goes up against the behemoths of the karting world to provide gamers with its own little test.
As the name suggests, cats are the stars of this show and with a variety of kitty racers present – all with their own unique characteristics and personalities – you’ll find your karting skills tested in a whole new way with this latest addition to the genre.
Expect power ups that you’ll have never have seen before, magical effects hitting the track to slow both yourself and your opponents down, and weaponry that only the most hardcore cat could ever consider useful. You can throw in 20 different tracks and three game modes that cover circle races, drifting and an intriguing ‘strike’ mode too, and Meow Motors fast becomes a bit of a tempting proposition.
Whether or not Meow Motors can stand up against the very best kart racers of all-time is up for debate but you can be sure we’ll be giving it a little go and will have some thoughts and full review up for you in the days ahead. For now though, the Xbox Store will sort you out with the usual download. With a price of just £12.49 in place, it’s certainly a much cheaper option than the AAA racers that have appeared before it.
