Minecraft: Story Mode – Season Two Episode 2 and Nintendo Switch Season 1 release dates confirmed

-

It’s a big old day for Telltale as not only are they confirming the release date for part two of Minecraft: Story Mode – Season Two, but have also confirmed the arrival of the first season on Nintendo Switch.

It’s the second season that we are most interested in here though – you know, with us being an Xbox focused site and all that – and so the news that Episode 2 ‘Giant Consequences’ will become available on Xbox One, PS4, PC, iOS and Android come August 15th 2017 is all you really need to know.

Jesse and the gang survived the Sea Temple, but they brought home a little more than they bargained for: a lost adventurer, a powerful device, and a colossal enemy capable of grinding Beacontown to dust. There may be more to this fearsome foe than meets the eye, but to find out, Jesse — together with a few trusty friends — must embark on another adventure, this time into the icy unknown…

With Telltale’s unique ‘Crowd Play’ multiplayer feature letting friends and family get involved in your adventure, if you were a fan of what you found in the first episode of Season 2, then you’ll no doubt be interested in following things up.

So, that’s the Xbox news out of the way, but whilst we are here we may as well tell you more about the Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure which will be available on Nintendo Switch starting August 22, 2017 in North America and August 25 in Europe and other regions. It’ll be available as both a digital download and a physical cartridge at retail, and ‘The Complete Adventure’ includes all eight episodes from the first season of Minecraft: Story Mode.

If you’re gaming over there and wish to check it out, then your chance will soon come. We’ll be sure to remind you once that second episode of Season Two arrives on Xbox One though.
