Want to take in some comedic tower defense racing? Rock Of Ages 3: Make & Break has just been announced and it’ll be bringing all those things and more!

Coming from Modus Games, with the development side of things covered by ACE Team and Giant Monkey Robot, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break will be found rolling onto Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) in early 2020, following on from the previous Rock of Ages 2: Bigger & Boulder.

Blending tower defense strategy, bursts of arcade action, and Monty Python styled humour, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break will see us rolling massive boulders towards the castles of our foes, all while building up our own as fast as we can.

For the first time in the series though, commanders will now be able to design their own stages, utilising an intuitive in-game level editor which will let their imagination run wild, before sharing it with the community. There promises to be nearly limitless possibilities for some original works, and when you then include both local head-to-head and online four-player multiplayer support, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break looks set to provide an avalanche of fun for creators and players alike.

But it doesn’t stop there and the story mode of Rock of Ages 3 plows through inventive reinterpretations of history with cameos from key figures like Caesar and Moctezuma, all while hit with tons of humour. You shouldn’t be too surprised when larger-than-life presences like Krampus or the Flying Spaghetti Monster show up as well. Thankfully you’ll have more than 20 stones to roll across 6 game modes – Boulder Avalanche and Humpty-Dumpty Mode sound very intriguing – so no matter whether you decide to focus your efforts on the defensive walls, or go on the all-out attack, there’s a ton of content awaiting.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
