Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is going back to the roots of the Call of Duty Game. Forget the WWII battles, zombies, Exo-launching suits, and other types of futuristic artillery. COD is getting back to its roots; the Call of Duty Modern Warfare. It is basically a reboot of the highly-acclaimed 2007 first-person shooter that is set on the battlefield of today. Fundamentally, the COD games have always been about the rough realities of war. This time around, the up-to-date nature of the ‘Modern Warfare’ title refers to the high-tech military gear we have today. Instead of far-fetched fantasies of science fiction, you will use killing machines deployed in combat right now in places like Russia and the Middle East. How about that?

  1. Borderlands 3

Release Date: September 13th, 2019

Supported Platforms: PS4 and PC

Borderlands 3 game

Speaking of games whose sequels we’ve been anticipating for ages; Gearbox recently affirmed the release of Borderlands this year. It’s been seven years since the release of Borderlands 2, but thankfully, it seems like this action-packed title will be worth the wait. The fourth core entry in the first-person loot and shoot debut franchise allows you to play as a Vault Hunter. Your main objective of the game will be to stop the rival Calypso twins. You are supposed to prevent the duo from yoking the “Children of the Vault” and taking ownership of the vaults that exist beyond Pandora planet. The new game comes with larger-than-life characters and a colourful and lively alien planet for exploration. Besides, there is also a load of otherworldly weaponry to stimulate your imagination plus a witty sense of humour to tickle you in the literal sense.

  1. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Release date: November 15th, 2019

Platforms Supported: Xbox One, PS4, and PC

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

From the big screens to our screens back at home, we’ve all been having a taste of Disney’s prowess in the blockbuster, tv show, and gaming world for decades now. This year, the Respawn Entertainment in conjunction with Electronic Acts give you a chance to assume the role of a former Jedi padawan, Cal Kestis. Cal is forced into hiding following the execution of Order 66 – a law meant to ensure the ambush and killing of Clone Troopers by Jedi warriors. While the official trailers and snippets revealed so far only offer us a glimpse at the story, it’s more than enough to get Star Wars fans giddy with excitement. Better yet, the E3 2019 (Electronic Entertainment Expo 2019) event showcased a far more jaw-dropping look at the game which unveiled an electrifying lightsaber gameplay.

However, unlike the direction this galactic franchise has been taking in the likes of the first and second instalment of Star Wars Battlefront, this new game, takes on a different track. It focuses solely on a single player-experience corresponding to 2008’s The Force Unleashed.
