Moving simulator Moving Out unpacks onto PC and consoles in Q2 2019

-

Simulation games have already come in all sorts of variations, seeing people able to become fire-fighters, airport workers and farmers, but now it’s time for Moving Out to book its place within the genre on consoles and PC as a moving simulator.

For those looking to try their hand at SMG Studio‘s Moving Out, it’s orientation day at the Smooth Move company and to become a certified Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technician (F.A.R.T), you’ll need to pop the training tape into the VCR and take in the dos and don’ts of moving furniture. Learn the ropes in a series of increasingly precarious and fantastical instructional lessons led by narrator Mick “RicePirate” Lauer. These span everything from unloading cargo off moving planes to smuggling giraffes out of the zoo and transporting goods to strange locales like haunted houses and outer space – as you do.

No matter what the job entails, customers appreciate prompt delivery. Hence, whether you’re on a heist or doing a repo job, it’s necessary to load as much into the truck as possible before zooming off to the next gig. How freight gets from one place to another is entirely up to you though, so be sure to toss the manual out of the window and get creative. Break down the walls, throw things, and use technology such as portals and ray guns across more than 50 levels to get the job done!

“Moving Out offers a wonderfully weird take on the world of movers,” said Ash Ringrose, founder, SMG Studio. “We’re creating a wacky, irreverent co-op experience that allows players to tackle problems how they see fit in a lighthearted sandbox. Expect a dash of dark humour also!”

Enjoy the game either in solo as an independent contractor or team up in co-op with a friend or a family member. Moving Out features both local and online play across its arcade, story, and versus modes. Each level also adjusts the experience dynamically to account for the number of players on screen, thereby welcoming Smooth Move employees of all ages and skill levels to join in this chaotic ‘80s themed experience.

Keep an eye out for more information and a concrete release date for Moving Out, which is currently expected on PC and consoles in Q2 2019.

Been gaming casually since the SNES as a youngster but found my true passion for games on the Playstation 1 (the forbidden word ooo). My addiction grew to its pinnacle with the purchase of an Xbox 360 & Xbox Live Service. A recovering GS hunter that will still play literally any game.
