It’s been officially revealed by Bandai Namco that My Hero One’s Justice, based on the My Hero Academia manga and anime franchise, is set to release in October this year. Will you be venturing into this world of superpowered heroes and villains?
My Hero One’s Justice is a 3D arena fighting game which enables players to form squads made up of three characters from a selection of those found in the My Hero Academia series. These teams can be comprised of heroes like All Might and Eraserhead, villains such as Stain, Dabi and Himiko Toga, or even include students of U.A. High School Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo. It’s entirely down to the player to decide what mix is best to take into an over-the-top 3D fight within destructible environments, but there’s always one main fighter and two sidekicks – just as it is for the Pro Hero teams in the anime.
During the combat, the primary fighters can call upon their sidekicks as well as utilise their signature Quirks – the superpower that defines each and every hero and villain – in order to land explosive combination attacks to turn the tides of battle or finish off an opponent. Each character’s Quirk and support attack are unique to them and can be executed anywhere; on the ground, in the air and even on buildings.
In terms of modes, My Hero One’s Justice offers the opportunity to play through character defining moments from the anime as well as game-exclusive, original scenarios via the Story Mode. After clearing the story from the point-of-view of a hero, the Villain Mode unlocks, where it provides the ability to play through the story from the villain’s perspective. By completing these missions, players then unlock items for their characters, making them even more powerful. Players can also choose to play online with their own created character and battle other players to hone their skills, thus becoming a worldwide hero.
