New characters and costumes arrive for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite on Xbox One

-

When two behemoths like Marvel and Capcom collide, there’s always a major character or two that doesn’t make the cut. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite already has a solid base roster, but now there are a few more you can add to it, as well as some fancy new costumes available to buy. Will you be reaching for your wallet to grab that character you’ve been waiting for?

Well, if you’re team Marvel then it’s your lucky day as all three of the new playable characters are from the Marvel universe; each priced at £6.49. There’s the sinister Symbiote and nemesis of Spider-Man, Venom, the deadly assassin and current Avenger, Black Widow, and the cybernetically-enhanced ‘Bucky’ Barnes, Winter Soldier. Gamers who own the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Character Pass won’t need to part with any additional cash whatsoever to do battle using these characters – just install them and you’re good to go.

Wanting to just improve the wardrobe of your favourite characters? Then the influx of new costumes on the Microsoft Store will be just what you need, with plenty to choose from, at a cost of course. The Stone Seekers Costume Pack sets you back £9.59, and includes costumes for Spider-Man (Superior), Ultron (Conquest), Thanos (Annihilation), Jedah (Makai Messiah), Frank West (Proto Man) and Haggar (Metro City Mayor).

Also available for £9.59 is the Cosmic Crusaders Costume Pack, and that one features the following costumes: Gamora (Classic), Nova (Nova Prime), Rocket Raccoon (Space Suit), Mega Man X (Special X), Zero (Special Zero) and Strider Hiryu (Hien). All of the costumes within these two packs are available to purchase separately for £3.29 each.

But wait, because there are even more costumes on the digital store with Gladiator Hulk, Warrior Thor, Evil Ryu, and Command Mission X, all priced at £2.49 a piece.

It’s like Christmas has come early for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite players – albeit one where you shed out cash for your own presents. If you’ve not played the actual game yet, then maybe our review of it will convince you to get involved.

Let us know which of these, if any, you’ve picked up and whether you believe they are worth their respective price tags!
