New free Gator Rush update released for The Crew 2

-

The world of The Crew 2 is already a huge one, but today Ubisoft have dropped the first free update for the game – Gator Rush.

Available today for Xbox One, PS4, and PC racers to enjoy, Gator Rush drops you into the heart of the southern swamps, with an all-new hovercraft discipline in the off-road family.

This sees three hovercraft vehicles arrive as part of the line-up, allowing racers to slide on all kinds of terrain, bump their opponents through the tight corners and land on top of their competitors after jumping a ramp.

In addition to the Bayou, other iconic places across the US map, such as Lake Michigan and Glacier Park, have also been redesigned with enhancements such as steep slopes and banked curves. A new Live Xtrem Series race and free drive will allow you to make the most of thee areas, with new skills available in the open world bringing new ways to explore the United States map.

The Crew 2 Gator Rush will also include Ace mode, a new difficulty level. If you have the skills to show, those successful in Ace mode will earn Legendary loot, parts that award better performances, exclusive affix bonuses and new combinations to customize each ride’s performance according to their handling preference.

Also starting today, season pass owners are getting early access to two new additional vehicles – the Ariel Nomad 2015 and XK Armored 2018. These arrive as part of the game’s monthly vehicle drop and will be available to all other players from 3rd October 2018.

What’s more, should you be a PC players, then The Crew 2 in its entirety will be available as a free to play title between the 27th-30th September 2018, with a huge 45% discount available for those on PC or PS4 wishing to then go on to purchase the game in full.

Gator Rush is just the first of many updates Ubisoft have planned for The Crew 2. Expect to find PvP opportunities in December, along with new disciplines, events, vehicles and more.

For now though, if you need an excuse to go and hit America once more, then The Crew 2’s Gator Rush should well provide it.
