New Monster Hunter: World trailer focuses on Wildspire Waste

-

Gamescom is on the horizon and there will no doubt be many new trailers for us to drool over in the next few days. One of the latest comes from Capcom, as they let us in on a few more Monster Hunter: World secrets.

Ahead of the show, Capcom have revealed a brand new video that showcases the action you can look forward to seeing in Monster Hunter: World. It also provides first look at a brand new location – the massive dry expanse known as Wildspire Waste. This area of the New World sees creatures who inhabit the areas adapting to survive, and it’ll obviously be up to you to take them down.

If you’re not down with the whole Monster Hunter: World scene, then the game promises to put you in the shoes of a hunter who needs to complete quests, hunting and slaying monsters as you go. With a full breathing eco-system filled with predators and prey, the new video shows off some more of the creatures you can expect to come across upon adventuring on your quest.

These magnificent beasts include the likes of the Kulu-Ya-Ku, a bird like creature that is often seen stealing other monsters’ eggs from the Ancient Forest and Wildspire Waste. The giant Barroth is a returning Monster Hunter series favourite and can be found marking its territory with mud as it wanders in search of its favourite snack – ants. Don’t be fooled by its taste for smaller meals though, this creature will charge anyone or anything that invades its territory and only the bravest of hunters can take on the challenge to bring it down.

If you are attending Gamescom, then make sure you check in on the game. You’ll find it on the Sony Consumer Booth in Hall 7 ready and willing to prepare you for your first quest to the New World!

Monster Hunter: World will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 in Early 2018. A PC version will follow.
