New V-Rally 4 gameplay videos showcase Special Stage generator

-

Bigben and Kylotonn Racing Games are gearing up for the release of V-Rally 4 in just a few short weeks. In doing so, they’ve dropped a couple of rather nifty gameplay videos to show off the special stage generator that will be included.

V-Rally 4 will be hitting Xbox One, PS4 and PC in September 2018, with a Nintendo Switch release happening a little further down the line, and part of the draw of it will be the inclusion of ‘specials’.

These specials make up a rally, delivering a number of timed stages that will severely test both your skills, and your nerves. If you want to be the very best rally driver, then you’ll not only need to learn how to take risks, but will also need to be able to keep your head as you blast through the trickiest areas – no more so when the varied environments see a change in weather.

Whether you are driving through the breath-taking environments of Malaysia, Japan, Siberia, Kenya, Sequoia Park or Monument Valley, you’ll have to rely on your co-driver’s notes – if only so you aren’t surprised by a tight bend!

With the road networks included in V-Rally 4 coming with a ton of detail, it will most definitely be something any budding rally driver will want to experience. But in addition to the pre-defined stages, a specials generator will mix things up even more. Just like rally organisers, this randomly opens and closes road intersections, meaning there are hundreds of different possible routes through each environment. Your route will therefore not be a collection of pre-defined roads and bends, but instead will use different parts of the road network each time, making for some unique challenges. Obviously that means it will be rather difficult to learn the bends by heart so listening carefully to your co-driver will be crucial.

Check out how all this works in the latest trailers below as you prepare yourself for the arrival of V-Rally 4.
