New Xbox One release Rememoried will leave you with wonder and confusion – sometimes both at the same time!

-

Some games require you to shoot, some to survive. Some games need you to remember in order to progress. But Rememoried wants you to forget – at least if you want to proceed throughout this surrealist explorative first person title.

Available right now is Rememoried – a game with a difference. You see, every time you travel past or turn away from something, the chances are the next time you look it would have changed in one way or another – most probably leaving you slightly confused at first. But this is the point of Rememoried; to leave you baffled by the very nature of this surreal beast.

Sometimes forgetting is the way forward, for example a sign indicating the way to go may turn into the path itself after turning back to it. Even the story that is played out will leave you debating the difference between a dream world and reality, or the knowable and unknowable.

There is no doubt that the video game market is saturated by all kinds of titles that are a bit alike to each other, but there are few games that have such an interesting gameplay mechanic and celestial, enchanting art-style like Rememoried.

Pick it up right now on Xbox One from the Microsoft Store for £12.49.

Game Description:

Rememoried is an independent video game, a virtual place where memories change to dreams and the only possible way is forgetting, which becomes a mechanism for proceeding to the next layer of dreams. The Surrealist explorative first-person adventure game. The basic element of gameplay is the ability to forget. Some elements in the surroundings change when the player turns away or leaves, and become more than just a direction sign: they become the way along which the player walks, flies and falls. Finding such a way to the higher levels is a matter of his aptness and intuition, rewarded by advancing higher.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
