There wasn’t much to shout about in terms of new releases last week, but that’s not the case this week with three Xbox One titles heading to the stores, bringing real variety to our gaming libraries. So, without further ado, let’s start those engines as we take a look at what’s ‘In Stores This Week’ for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance – 13th February – Xbox One

Explore the majestic castles, flourishing villages and deep forests of medieval Bohemia in this story-driven open-world RPG featuring real historical characters. Become immersed in the Holy Roman Empire as you set about avenging the death of your parents, making influential decisions and fulfilling game-changing quests along the way. The non-linear story will ensure that quests are solvable in multiple ways, leading to a consequence orientated experience. Whether you fight, steal or bribe your way out of situations is up to you, with combat options also allowing the choice for up-close action, stealth attacks and battling from a distance.

Dynasty Warriors 9 – 13th February – Xbox One

For the very first time, the Dynasty Warriors franchise is taking its trademark ‘one vs. many’ action to a completely open-world setting, allowing for players to engage in greater experiences outside of the main story. Set in the Three Kingdoms era, the story takes place across ten chapters, each of which reflects the changes to the balance of power. Expect to see many all-new and returning characters to choose from, with over 80 available in total. Combat mustn’t be the only skill relied upon when attempting to overcome humans and beasts in this hack ‘n’ slash world though, because now players can prepare meals, using materials garnered, to grant themselves temporary boosts. And once the required blueprints are possessed, crafting new weapons is also a viable option to gain the edge in battle. Dynasty Warriors 9 could potentially be a breath of fresh air for the long-standing series.
