A fair few new titles are set to arrive on the store shelves in the coming days, allowing gamers to flex those muscles, laugh out loud at a potentially hilarious RPG and experience a post-apocalyptic world. Let’s get stuck in and take a look at exactly what new games are ‘In Stores This Week’ for Xbox One and Xbox 360.

ELEX – 17th October – Xbox One

ELEX sends you to a post-apocalyptic sci-fi universe for an open-world RPG set in Magalan – a planet recently hit with a meteor and a place where magic and mechs go hand in hand. Expect to find lots of original characters and mutants as you control a character moulded by your choices. The possessed skills of your character will only be developed by earning the trust of teachers; therefore decisions made will be important. This character can be kitted out with weapons such as an axe, a rocket launcher or a harpoon, whilst magic powers are also on offer. Make allies, roam the world as you see fit and jetpack to wherever you need to be, but just be wary of the mutated creatures lurking in this polluted planet.

South Park: The Fractured But Whole – 17th October – Xbox One

The creators of South Park have masterminded a sequel to The Stick of Truth and this time they want you to delve deep into The Fractured But Whole. Your superhero origin story starts here, and after creating a costume befitting of your powers, you must work alongside the likes of Mysterion, The Coon and Fastpass, to clean up crime in the quiet little mountain town of South Park. The all-new combat system enables players to bend time and space, as well as harness the power of their farts, in a unique RPG like no other. Prepare to be shocked, outraged and possibly scarred for life, in an authentic South Park game full of fun and laughter.

WWE 2K18 – 17th October – Xbox One

The WWE 2K series returns with biggest roster we’ve ever seen, featuring all the big names like Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Jinder Mahal etc. An overhaul in the gameplay should see a more realistic in-ring experience, whilst a brand new rendering system ensures that the visuals are of a higher standard than before. There’s a huge focus on MyCAREER and making your mark on the main roster using MyPLAYER – a created character – to form alliances, challenge rivals and work towards forging some WrestleMania moments along the way. The MyPLAYER can also be taken online in RoadToGlory to test your skills against players around the world. For the creative minded gamers, an even deeper set of customisation tools are presented to you, enabling you to add your own ideas in terms of Superstars, Arenas, Titles and more.

The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk – 20th October – Xbox One

Our Asposian heroes – Robert, Laura and their faithful pigeon Peck – are back for a brand new point and click adventure in Asposia. This time their aim is to help save the flute nose dynasty, whose lives have been threatened by the conniving Emil after he convinced the masses that they are in cahoots with dark forces. Robert and co. will need the help of the last wind monk though if he’s to succeed in stopping the evil Emil. Much like the original The Inner World, you’ll be treated to funny dialogue, quirky characters, great animation and a whole ton of puzzling moments which can be as difficult as you would like them to be.

Real Farm – 20th October – Xbox One

Forget all those other farming simulators, Real Farm has the fans covered with game modes to suit any type of farming enthusiast. Free mode brings the standard simulation experience; starting out on an already established farm with room for expansion. Career mode however gives players nothing to begin with and they must work for other farmers to raise their reputation, earn cash and eventually buy their own farm. Get ready to drive around a massive open world, buying and selling your wares produced from sowing crops or keeping livestock.
