It may come with the best play on words in videogaming history, and it may promise to deliver roguelike elements, but we have to admit to never having heard of Dig Dog before. But hey, it’s now available – and it comes in with a lovely cheap price. I mean, this is seriously cheap.
Available right now for £2.49 (with a launch discount currently knocking it down even further to just £2.29), Dig Dog has hit Xbox One, PC and iOS to tell the story of a dog who is after his bone. You know, like all dogs are.
This bone hunting trail is a little different to the normal platformers we have loved over the years as it mixes digging with roguelike gameplay, giving the chance to create our own unique tunnels as we take on a treasure hunt like no other.
Two game modes are in place and Bone Hunt is the challenging roguelike treasure hunt that is the meat and drink of the game – one which will see us die a lot as we dig through four worlds of increasing difficulty, battling enemies above perilous cliffs and sunken desert caves.
The more chilled Free Dig mode however is also in place and with little in the way of challenge, should be the go-to spot for anyone wishing to kick back and dig like a dog through infinite levels.
