Open-world adventure Windscape gets a confirmed release date for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC

-

Windscape release

Inspired by the likes of ‘The Legend of Zelda’, ‘Secret of Mana’ and ‘Golden Axe Warrior’, Dennis Witte’s first person exploration adventure of Windscape is heading to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and leaving Early Access on PC, with help from publishers Headup Games. Want to know when it’s arriving?

The release date has been set and now developer Dennis Witte is within touching distance of seeing his dream project, Windscape, come to fruition. Upon release, you can expect to find elements of modern day crafting and sandbox games, while presenting the opportunity to explore a beautifully handcrafted fantasy world filled with monsters to fight, NPCs, quests to solve and puzzles to overcome.

You’ll meet peaceful NPCs in each island’s overworld, whilst vicious monsters will lurk in the dungeons and lairs as the journey progress. While the islands work in a non-linear manner, the dungeons are definitely more puzzle and combat driven; each designed with its own style and atmosphere. Brute force won’t get you far when coming face to face with the large bosses though. Instead, having tactics and figuring out your enemies’ combat patterns are key to defeating these larger foes – such as ghosts, ogres and dragons. Your effort will be rewarded of course as along the way there are many valuable items for you to loot.

Windscape is slated to arrive on 27th Match, 2019 for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, with a 20% discount on offer for pre-ordering on all platforms once the pre-purchase option becomes available – 13th March for the Xbox Store. For now, we’ll leave you with a little trailer to watch…

Let us know what you think about the announcement of Windscape by posting in the comments or hitting us up on the usual social channels. We’d love to hear from you.
