Outbreak: Lost Hope brings more true survival horror to Xbox One

We’ve previously seen Drop Dead Studio deliver a couple of Outbreak stories to Xbox One, with The New Nightmare and the Nightmare Chronicles providing some scary moments throughout 2018. Now though the guys are back, and in Outbreak: Lost Hope we are once again dropped into the middle of the Outbreak universe – and left to survive.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Outbreak: Lost Hope puts us into the shoes of Gwen, a mother who is on a desperate search for her daughter. The problem is the world has been hit by an epidemic and Gwen is left to fight through hordes of the undead just in order to keep herself alive.

In order to save her daughter she’ll need to work her way through some classic gameplay that has obviously been inspired by the horror tales which have gone before it, searching for supplies and solving puzzles in the process. With a limited save system making things tense, and the management of Gwen’s inventory a seemingly lost cause, will you be able to help this mother find her daughter – and help them both escape this utter nightmare?

Priced up at just £8.39, with an initial launch discount dropped that down further, Outbreak: Lost Hope on Xbox One is certainly not going to be found breaking the bank, and so if you have time and space in your life for a new horror experience, and wish to close the curtains, stick on a set of cans, and immerse yourself into the nightmare, this is a game that should certainly be considered.

We’ll no doubt have a full review of Lost Hope on Xbox One coming your way soon, but checking out the previous games from Drop Dead on the links at the top of this piece should give some indication of what can be found ahead. If you like the premise, and wish to give it a little look, then heading to the Xbox Store and nabbing yourself a download is the way to go.

From there dropping into the comments section and letting us know your thoughts on Outbreak: Lost Hope on Xbox One would be hugely appreciated.
