Whilst the latest battle between Zombies and Plants isn’t due to release on Xbox One properly until Feb 25th, if you are an EA Access member, you’ll now find yourself with ten free hours of gameplay. What you waiting for?

Thanks to the Xbox One EA Access scheme (and indeed Origin Access on PC), you can now play Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 as if it were your own. You’ll have access to the full game and all your stats will be carried over should you then go on to purchase the game proper. There is no excuse not to get involved in the battle for Zomburbia prior to its official release.

Experience all-new ways to play, including the Backyard Battleground – a massive, interactive environment that connects you to every map and mode in the game. Go on the offensive in massive 24-player online battles – including eight game modes or rally your team together and defend against waves of enemies in the 4-player co-op modes, Garden Ops & Graveyard Ops. Get into the action with six new character classes and over one hundred playable plants and zombies from the past, present, and future. All of this takes place across 12 sprawling new maps, including the low gravity Moon Base Z and the snowy Frosty Creek, with dynamic environments and outrageous end-games.

Of course, the smart ones amongst you will have already got an EA Access subscription sitting pretty, not only giving you early access to PvsZ Garden Warfare 2, but also a whole host of other games, some decent discounts on EA titles and, most excitedly, free games to download and own forever more.

If you haven’t got an EA Access sub, we wholeheartedly advise you get one now.

Go join Team Plant or Team Zombie right now!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
