It’s got chickens, but it’s not PUBG. It’s got beautiful cartoon visuals, but it’s not Fortnite. It is a Battle Royale experience though and having already excited many on PC, it has now arrived for the masses on Xbox One on PS4. It’s Realm Royale!
In this latest Battle Royale adventure, players take control of a Champion from one of four unique options, before taking the usual route of jumping from an airborne craft with the other 99 participants for a 100-player mass brawl Battle Royale fight to the death.
When on the ground players must do whatever it takes within the fantasy world to outrun the deadly fog that is closing in throughout the battle, looting enough weapons, abilities and potions to ensure the fight remains competitive.
To help you in your hunt for survival across the large open-world map, every player will have the option to take to horseback travel to traverse the land faster, but be warned, with every gallop there is a player watching, for every player there is a weapon waiting, and for every weapon there is a chance of death and elimination from the first second down to the last.
Unlike the many other Battle Royale titles on the market however, being downed doesn’t mean you’re out of the game – even when playing solo – and should you survive the short window of time that begins to countdown on screen once you’ve been downed, then you’ll be able respawn with all your items intact. Of course that does indeed mean surviving those limited seconds you’re down as nothing more than a defenceless chicken, but if you’re able to get away then the fight is on once more – it’s no easy task we’re sure!
