Release date and Collector’s Edition for ELEX confirmed alongside new CGI trailer

-

There’s a new science fantasy, open world action RPG on its way, and today the full release date for ELEX has been announced.

Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 17th October 2017, ELEX from Piranha Bytes and THQ Nordic is a handcrafted action role-playing experience set in a post-apocalyptic science-fantasy universe. You’ll get the opportunity to jump into a huge, seamless open world full of original characters, mutated creatures, deep moral choices and powerful action.

Swords, axes, bows, crossbows and harpoons will all be present as ELEX brings one of the widest selection of weaponry in the history of role-playing video games. Whether you pick up a shotgun, power up a plasma rifle or unleash a flame thrower, there will be a weapon and combat style for every fighter out there. That’s because in ELEX, every choice will forge the future of your game.

Also announced is the Collector’s Edition for ELEX – an edition which includes the following…

  • A 10-inch-high figurine of an Alb Mage
  • A 2-inch amulet in the form of a combat drone
  • A cloth map, showing the world of Magalan
  • The original score on CD
  • An artbook
  • The game’s manual
  • The game itself, obviously

If that wasn’t enough to get you excited, you may wish to also check out the brand CGI new trailer. Not only is it rather good, but it establishes the heart of the player’s journey on Magalan, a planet devastated after a meteor collision. Moving to the beat of Benj Heard’s “Whatever Doesn’t Kill Me (Better Run)”, the video sets up the road at the heart of the player’s journey, as they walk the line between the many character progression and faction choices that lay ahead.

Hit it up.
