The latest digital pre-order and pre-download is now open on Xbox One. Gonna grab Resident Evil HD?

Available on Xbox One as a digital download only come Jan 20th, the original Resident Evil has been remastered and crammed full of HD visuals. £15.99 seems to be a bit of a steal for the game that defined a generation.

Dare you go back? Dare you experience those damn dogs again!?

Game Description:

The game that defined the survival-horror genre is back! Check out the remastered HD version of Resident Evil. In 1998 a special forces team is sent to investigate some bizarre murders on the outskirts of Raccoon City. Upon arriving they are attacked by a pack of blood-thirsty dogs and are forced to take cover in a nearby mansion. But the scent of death hangs heavy in the air. Supplies are scarce as they struggle to stay alive.

The Xbox One Games Store holds the key to your download. This link will whisk you straight to the relevant title for pre-ordering.

And its Cross Buy on PS4 and PS3 (buy it once, get it on PS4 AND PS3). Looks like we are getting the Capcom of old back ^_^
i.e. if Xbox can’t do/won’t do something doesn’t mean Playstation should be forced to not do it either, just for the fact that it makes Xbox look worse. Valve did the same thing with the Cross Buy/Save/Play version of Portal 2 for PS3 and PC. In other words, give us the features our consoles are capable of and stop fearing what Xbox would think of you doing this.

‘In other words, give us the features our consoles are capable of’…Love this bit and wish more would think that way.

Unfortunately too many people in this world are hung up on 60fps this and 1080p that. If one console can do something that the other one can’t, then that’s just the way it is.

Are the X1 and PS4 versions going to run at the same specs?

We understand that to be the case Nick. Don’t hold us to it though.
