The ‘Master of the 619’, Rey Mysterio, was the first playable character to be unveiled as a bonus for gamers who pre-order WWE 2K19, but now the second has been revealed. Step forward the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet’, Ronda Rousey!

She’s won medals in judo, dominated the Octagon in UFC, starred in huge films and is currently giving beatdowns in the WWE Universe. Despite only having her first match at WrestleMania 34 earlier this year, Ronda Rousey has amassed a decent reputation in the squared circle already. To cap off such a whirlwind year for the UFC Hall of Famer, 2K have decided to ensure she makes her WWE video game debut as soon as possible by making her a playable character that’s accessible to all who pre-order the upcoming instalment of the WWE 2K series, WWE 2K19. It’s expected that it’ll be the WrestleMania 34 Roddy Piper inspired attire she’ll be using in-game too.

“As a WWE Superstar, having support from the Piper family means everything to me,” said Ronda Rousey. “It’s an honour to be part of WWE 2K19 and have my name mentioned alongside so many important Superstars in WWE history, including Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, Ultimate Warrior, Sting and Goldberg.”

“Anybody can call themselves ‘Rowdy’, but it takes a special, talented and dedicated individual to live up to the ‘Rowdy’ name,” said Colt Toombs, son of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. “My dad saw it in Ronda, and so do we. She is truly ‘Rowdy to the core,’ and that mindset really comes through in the trailer for WWE 2K19.”

The standard edition of WWE 2K19 is currently scheduled for a worldwide release on 9th October, 2018 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with those ordering the Deluxe and Collector’s editions four days earlier being able to play on 5th October, 2018 via ‘Early Axxess’.
