Available for purchase and download on Xbox One and Switch right now is the sequel to one of the most surprising hit games ever. See, whilst the original Cook, Serve, Delicious! has failed to arrive on Xbox One, it went down a treat with diners over on Steam, with it currently sitting with ‘overwhelmingly positive’ reviews since the release back in 2013. And that in itself is a good enough reason for us to be excited about the console release of the sequel – particularly as the only properly decent cooking game available on Xbox One at this time are those games in the Overcooked! series.
But what is CSD2? Well, it’s not going to be one of those ‘one and done’ games, promising instead a 60+ hours experience in which you take your grimy little restaurant from being a cockroach infested diner to a Platinum starred affair.
You’ll do this by starting off from the bottom and cooking up an array of foods for your favourite diners in your own little eatery, before branching out across 400 levels and 33 different restaurants to deliver some culinary treats to anyone who will give you money. If that means becoming a chef for hire, then so be it!
Priced up at £10.74, Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! is available for purchase from the Xbox Store for Xbox One players to embrace right now. It’s also up on the Nintendo eShop for £12.99. Alternatively you’ll find the game having released recently on PS4, whilst those PC gamers who adored the original game can also get in on a bit more action with CSD2.
