ghostbusters the video game remastered

It’s been a decade since Ghostbusters: The Video Game saw the light of day and at the time it was fairly well received. As the 35th anniversary of the classic Ghostbusters film is this year, Saber Interactive have revealed there’s going to be a HD re-release of the aforementioned game later this year to celebrate the milestone. So, when there’s something strange in your neighbourhood, you’ll be able to deal with it yourself in Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered!

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered places you firmly in the role of a new rookie on the Ghostbusters crew for this action-adventure. Get ready to team up with your favourite characters from the films, reunited by the voices of stars like Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson as Stantz, Spengler, Venkman and Zeddemore, alongside Annie Potts, Brian Doyle-Murray, William Atherton and Max von Sydow. You see, Manhattan is overrun once more by ghosts, demons and other paranormal creatures unleashed by a mysterious force. Only the Ghostbusters can drive this evil back to whatever dimension it crawled out from and, in turn, save the Big Apple.

You’ll be able to hunt, fight and trap a variety of new and familiar ghouls and phantasms, all remastered in HD resolution. Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered equips you with a host of cool gadgets and upgradeable weapons to play with, which will surely come in handy for the huge boss fights and destructible environments. Scan and analyse targets with the P.K.E. Meter and Paragoggles, then strap on your Proton Pack to wear ghosts down with the blast stream, before wrangling them using the capture stream.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered is expected to launch later this year on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Epic Games store for PC. It’s sure to be comedic and full of the supernatural, so what more could you really ask for?
