Season 13.5 of Star Trek Online arrives on Xbox One and PS4

-

If you’ve been enjoying the free-to-play massively multiplayer online game that is Star Trek Online on Xbox One or PS4, then you may be excited to know that Season 13.5 is now with us – and with it you’ll get the chance to rescue a famous Klingon general from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Available today on Xbox One and PS4, Season 13.5 of Star Trek Online is the mid-season update to the free-to-play game. The update includes a new Ferengi Trade Alliance Admiralty and the Endeavor System, which gives console players special challenges to complete for rewards. But alongside that you’ll find a special appearance by Martok, voiced by Star Trek actor J.G. Hertzler

Season 13.5 will also allow players to discover an exciting new featured episode – Brushfire. After reuniting with legendary General Rodek (voiced by Tony Todd), they will join Klingon forces to rescue an important prisoner who has been locked away in a secret prison. The detainee is the infamous Martok, played by J.G. Hertzler, who originated the role in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Captains must work quickly to extract the Klingon general from the Son’a facility without drawing the attention of the Tzenkethi.

You’ll find that the update also introduces two new gameplay features:

  • The Endeavor System – Level 60 captains can earn rewards throughout each week by completing challenges with the new Endeavor System.
  • Ferengi Trade Alliance Admiralty – The game’s Admiralty System has been updated to include a new campaign helping captains acquire trades and goods with the aid of the Ferengi Trade Alliance. This new feature is available to all captains Level 52 and above.

If you haven’t got involved in the free-to-play massively multiplayer online game, then you should really be heading over to the Xbox Games Store (or PS4 equivalent) and getting a download in right away. If you wish to know more about the game, then our full review is right here. Basically put though, if you’re a Star Trek fan and wish to visit some of the most iconic of locations, the Star Trek Online is for you.
