Loved the premise of Hello Neighbor but always felt that it needed a little extra? Perhaps a suspenseful multiplayer aspect that would ensure you can play the game over the Halloween period? That is where Secret Neighbor comes in and today it is found launching on Xbox One and PC – with an Xbox Game Pass debut in tow.

Available right now from the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Steam for PC, Secret Neighbor is the conclusion of a couple of years of the best creative minds coming together in order to create the ultimate in social horror, letting you use your voice to manipulate your friends. And after running a huge beta and a number of alphas, it is now that the team at tinyBuild are ready to release the suspense onto the world.

Priced up at £16.74, or available as an Xbox Game Pass freebie, Secret Neighbor will see you and your mates play out proceedings as a group of kids who are found trying to break into their Neighbor’s basement – however one of that group is a traitor and will have to do everything in their power to stop the mates from being successful.

The main aim is to work a way into the basement, collecting keys and cooperating in order to find success. But should you be found playing as the Neighbor then a whole new style of gameplay comes to the fore, seeing you utilise gadgets to get one-up, scaring, confusing and separating the youngsters.

Whilst there have been many games to run along these routes – the likes of White Noise 2 immediately spring to mind – Secret Neighbor looks to combine the whole premise with the delights of the previously released Hello Neighbor brilliantly.

Should you wish to give it a shot and have a few mates who all have Xbox Game Pass access and are up for a scare, then Secret Neighbor looks to be a game that is well worth a peek. Just pop on over to the usual stores – Xbox Store for us – and get a download moving.
