The Red Dead Online Beta continues to evolve, with more and more content frequently added to it since its launch. The player vs. player modes in the Showdown Series especially have been expanded on and improved to ensure dramatically competitive matches are a staple of the gameplay. Now though, there’s yet another new addition to the Series in the form of the Spoils of War mode. So who’s ready for some capture-style multiplayer action?

Spoils of War is a team-based mode in which 2-16 players compete to defend their stockpile and attempt to raid each other’s. Each team must steal loot from their opponent’s base and return it to theirs, while defending their own stash at the same time. Whichever team steals the most by the end of the match wins. You can take on this new Showdown Series mode across a variety of locations including Fort Mercer and Valentine. And as an added benefit this week, you’ll get a 20% XP boost on all Showdown Modes and winning just one Spoils of War match will earn you an extra bonus of 8x Dynamite Arrows, retrievable from the Post Office or your Camp Lockbox.

Also starting today, sellers have received their first shipments of rare clothing that will only be available for a limited time in the Wheeler, Rawson & Co Catalogue. This week, look for a pair of new outfits as well as a few other garments and accessories in the list below:

  • The Tasman Outfit (Male only)
  • The Danube Outfit (Female only)
  • Tied Pants
  • Hitched Skirt (Female only)
  • Winter Shotgun Coat
  • Gardenia Hat
  • Squat Stovepipe Top Hat

As the Beta progresses, the Catalogue functionality and organisation is set to improve, while Rockstar are also going to be adding new items with unique flair that will regularly rotate through the shops.

Will you be indulging in the Spoils of War mode for some multiplayer action, or is the single player side of Red Dead Redemption 2 still your main focus? Get in touch and let us know!
