Star Wars The Force Unleashed now free on Xbox One and Xbox 360 thanks to Xbox Games With Gold

It usually costs £11.99 to download, but for the next two weeks, you can unleash the force as Star Wars: The Force Unleashed becomes free to download.

Thanks to the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for February 2017, all those who hold a valid Xbox Live Gold subscription can get free access to everything that The Force Unleashed holds. Continuing the Star Wars saga, you’ll take on the role of Vadar’s ‘Secret Apprentice’ in a new chapter of the Star Wars universe set between Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.

If you fancy feeling the power like never before in a Star Wars title, and don’t fancy paying for it, then we advise you to get over to the Xbox Games Store right now (or at the very least, before the month is out) and get your download in. It may be a native Xbox 360 title, but thanks to the Xbox One’s Backwards Compatibility feature, you can play it on both consoles!

Game Description:

The Star Wars saga continues in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed! Take on the role of Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” in a new chapter of the saga set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. Unleash over-the-top Force powers and devastating attack combos on enemies with unique behaviors and reactions every single time you play. Metal bends like metal, wood splinters like wood, and glass shatters like glass as you unleash the Force like never before. Scour the galaxy and defeat Jedi Masters on familiar worlds, including Cloud City, and on strange new worlds, such as the junk planet Raxus Prime. Destroy all who stand in your way in your ultimate quest to do Darth Vader’s bidding. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed allows you to feel the power of the Force like never before in a brand new Star Wars story where your decisions could change the ultimate destiny of the galaxy.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.

I have this on disc on 360, so there’s another one I can get rid of! Happy days.
