Coming via a collaboration between Devespresso and Headup, Vambrace: Cold Soul will be found delivering its goods to PC and Mac on the 25th April 2019. That will then be followed by a console release – Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch – in Q3 2019.
Direct from the makers of The Coma: Recut, Vambrace is a roguelike fantasy adventure that is intent on focusing on rich story telling and deep strategy. Representing a rather significant departure from the survival mechanics found in their previous title, this time round the team at Devespresso Games will be concentrating on a gothic fantasy tale from the minds of Minho Kim and T.L. Riven.
The game features multi-class party building mechanics, punishing roguelike expeditions, an immersive narrative with high replayability, all head together thanks to Minho’s signature hand-illustrated graphics that are sure to please both 2D and retro game enthusiasts.
In Vambrace you find yourself playing as Evelia Lyric, bearer of the Aetherbrace and the only human capable of entering the cursed city of Icenaire. You must choose party members who will lend their unique strengths to your cause, before embarking on expeditions and using perceptive allies to avoid traps and strange encounters. Leveraging the strengths of fighters and magic wielders will allow you to survive the deadly combat, but as the surface of Icenaire is so cold and unforgiving, you will need to use every advantage you can muster to survive!
