It was pretty much 18 months ago when we saw The Crypt of the Serpent King first arrive on Xbox One. Limited to the US only, the revamped Xbox 360 Indie title, was priced at just a couple of dollars. Now though, it’s finally arrived in the UK… and it’s just as cheap.
I mean, this is one game that is SERIOUSLY cheap. As in £1.59 cheap. And no matter what you think, that is a great price.
But is The Crypt of the Serpent King worth even that price tag now that it has rocked up on Xbox One in the UK? Well, if you take our review as the gospel truth (which you should btw), it’s not the greatest game in the world. In fact, it’s not even average. But it is a reasonably fun experience. Just.
Taking us into a load of medieval dungeons with the express intention of hacking and slashing our way past skeletons, spiders and all manner of other underworld foe, you won’t ever be wowed by what you find with the Serpent King, and it could certainly do with a bit of polish, but we can’t ignore that price tag.
The Microsoft Store will let us UK Xbox One gamers get in on the action of The Crypt of the Serpent King for just £1.59 right now.
