Super Night Riders brings Outrun style motorbike racing to Xbox One players in the UK

-

Those Xbox One gamers who have focused on the system for a few years now may have already heard of Super Night Riders. For it was this simple motorcycle racer that dropped on to the console way back in 2016 – at least for those in the North American region. Today though all that changes as UK riders now also get the chance to experience ‘Outrun with bikes’.

Available now in the UK, Super Night Riders has taken nearly 2 years to make its way across the pond and become properly playable away from the US, bringing its modern gameplay and retro inspired goods to a whole host of other gamers.

Playing as Alice – the Red Rider – it is up to you to travel as far as you can until sunrise, dodging rival riders, hitting checkpoints and racing through the day and night until that sun starts to show. A simple concept that has obviously been inspired by Outrun, you shouldn’t be left expecting anything utterly amazing in the process, but with 36 stages and 6 challenging courses, at least there is just enough content available for the price.

And that price is what will make Super Night Riders a bit of a viable option for many gamers. Whilst the £6.39 standard asking price is possibly a bit too high for the monotony that Super Night Riders brings (read our full review for the complete rundown), the fact that this is a game being hit with an instant 50% discount, even with the promise of Xbox One X enhancements, tells a lot.

If you must check out the latest racer to hit Xbox One, have been casting an eye towards the US for the last couple of years, are in the UK and are looking for a bargain, then get yourself over to the Microsoft Store right now.

Game Description:

Super Night Riders is a modern arcade racing game inspired by the retro classics. You are Alice, a beautiful and talented motorcyclist known as the Red Rider. In this game, your position in the race does not matter. It’s all about traveling as far as possible while dodging the rival riders, and reaching each checkpoint before the timer hits zero. All the races starts during the day and continue through the night right up until sunrise. The game features 2 visual styles: Super and Classic. Ride through 36 beautiful stages in 6 challenging courses!
