Bored of sitting by a lake and nabbing the odd carp? Want to take in a proper hardcore fishing experience? Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour is one of the best virtual options out there and today it is that which is whisking us off to Peru and the Amazonian rainforest in order to land some rather wonderful fish.

Priced up at £8.99, the Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour Lagunas Iquitos DLC pack is quite possibly the most exotic, most exciting, content pack to hit the game yet.

Available right now on Xbox One and ready to download from the glorious Xbox Store, the Lagunas Iquitos DLC for Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour does away from the usual lake-based content, to throw you into deepest, darkest, Peru, in the search of two new fish species – the delightfully named Peacock Bass and Wolf Fish; the former working up to 23lbs and the latter able to grow to a huge 38lbs.

As you may expect to hear from something that delivers such an exotic nature, those two fish won’t be the only types you’ll expect to be landing onto your little kayak, and monster arapaima, red tail catfish and black pacu will all be present and correct, as will no less than 25 new trophy fish.

All of this fishing lark will take place across 3 new career events, running over more than 1500 acres of water and shoreline – you’ll certainly need to be bringing your best gear and A-game to the table in order to prove a success.

You will of course require the full base game of Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour to hand prior to enjoying the latest content that the Lagunas Iquitos pack brings, but from there, you’ll be good to hit up the usual digital stores and see the content drop. For us Xbox One gamers that means taking a trip to the Xbox Store.

Let us know what you think about this latest DLC piece for Fishing Sim World. Will you be heading to Peru in the hope of nailing that Wolf Fish? The comments section is down below.

Game Description:

In the heart of Peru surrounded by the Amazonian rainforest lies Lagunas Iquitos. This remote lake is home to two new species of fish – the peacock bass and wolf fish as well as monster arapaima, red tail catfish and black pacu. Narrow channels, vegetation and shallows that a traditional boat couldn’t reach means that the ‘Haichou Explorer’ kayak that comes with this pack is vital to explore. The beautiful peacock bass fights harder than all other bass and can be found up to an incredible 23lbs. The terrifying looking wolf fish can grow up to 38lbs but with huge, razor sharp teeth, you will need strong gear. Catch Arapaima that grow up to a huge 450lbs, red tail catfish go to 120lbs and black pacu up to 70lbs. Laguna Iquitos also has 25 new trophy fish and 3 new career events for you to master. With 1,500 acres of lake to fish from the water or shoreline you will need to utilise all of your skill, watercraft and equipment to discover everything this venue has to offer.
