It was back in 2017 when Trüberbrook started to become a reality. Now though, some 2 years after a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign, we are finally getting the chance to head off on a trip of a lifetime, as Headup Games throw Trüberbrook out to the Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch masses.
Having dropped onto PC a month or so ago, it’s now the chance for console players to get access to the wonders of the mystery sci-fi adventure that is Trüberbrook. Throwing us into a parallel universe that is set in the 1960’s Europe, you’ll get the chance to check out a remote German village as the young American scientist – Hans Tannhauser.
From there a wonderfully unique world will begin to unfold, keeping you entertained by mixing ideas from Twin Peaks, The X-Files, Stranger Things and Star Trek all with visuals pushing home a handmade miniature scene. Expect to find Tannhauser getting put through the wringer too, with elements of love, loyalty, friendship and dinosaurs – yep, dinosaurs – all included in the Trüberbrook tale.

Our thoughts of how all this plays out will be coming at you in the days ahead, but should you by looking for a game that delivers a slightly different visual style to the norm, and reckon going deep into the emotions is something you can handle, then chances are Trüberbrook will be the game for you.
Until that review hits home, the usual digital store will see you given access to the relevant Trüberbrook download. We reckon your best bet is to hit the Xbox Store and nab the game for £24.99. The PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop should also be happy enough to send the goodies out should you wish to run on those formats.
