Take your guitar playing to the next level with the Rocksmith Advanced Exercises Vol. 1

-

The start of June saw all Rocksmith guitarists given the opportunity to enhance their string playing skills with the addition of some of the first volume of Easy Exercises. That was swiftly followed in July by a more Intermediate set of tests. Now though it’s time to push the skills to the very limit with the arrival of the Rocksmith Advanced Exercises Vol. 1 DLC.

Available to purchase and download into Rocksmith 2014 Edition and Rocksmith Remastered, the Advanced Exercises Vol. 1 DLC pack allows the chance for all would-be strummers to really nail the biggest of rifts.

Priced up at £4.19 and available for all Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 players to get involved with, the Advanced Exercises Vol 1 Pack will see you tested in the art of linear playing, string switching, string skipping, hammer-ons, and pull-offs. Adding to those included in the Easy and Intermediate Exercise packs, you’ll find that there are now 5 Advanced exercises for guitar and bass made by the notetrackers.

If you’re serious about learning how to play guitar and have decided that going down the Rocksmith tutoring route is the way for you then this latest addition to the DLC library is quite possibly a bit of a no-brainer. Of course, it does mean that we don’t see any new songs coming about this week, but there have been a whole host of cracking song packs pushing out hundreds of songs over the years, so one week off isn’t going to hurt.

Should you want to know more about how Rocksmith promises to be the fastest way to learn guitar, then make sure you check out our review of the game on Xbox One.

And if you have a copy of the tutoring experience to hand already, and are looking to take that next step, hop on over to the Xbox Store (Xbox One and Xbox 360), or the PlayStation Store (PS4 and PS3) to pick up the Rocksmith Advanced Exercises Vol. 1 pack right now.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore. Gamertag is neil363, feel free to add me to your list.
