After a month or so out in the wild, Guitar Hero Live has received its first major update, dropping in a number of new features including the rather exciting Rival Challenges.
With FreeStyleGames always looking for new ways to make GHTV just that little more interesting, you’ll find that your Guitar Hero experience will be changing every so slightly.
Rival Challenges is a new feature in the GHTV channels and sees players pitted against similarly skilled axe grinders. Based on a 1-on-1 battle, you’ll find yourself match made against other players  twice in every half hour show. The song choices will be picked by FreeStyle and they promise that your opponent will be of a similar level to yourself.
Whilst you’ll need to be at level 10 or higher, if you win these battles, you’ll find yourself rewarded with an extra 100 Status XP and full bragging rights!
But that’s not all. GHTV will now also include the ability for you to favourite a song, ensuring that you can jump back to your favourite tracks just a bit easier, whilst if you run out of song play tokens, GHTV will now reward you with three daily plays so you can play whichever tracks you want in style.
