We’re big fans of what Saber Interactive delivered 12 months ago with the release of Spintires: MudRunner. Therefore, pretty much by default, the arrival of the American Wilds Edition of the game is hugely anticipated. That arrival date is today!
Available right now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC players to get down and dirty with (with a Nintendo Switch edition arriving come November 27th 2018), Spintires: MudRunner – American Wilds really is the definitive edition of the game.
Bringing together the brilliant base game – seriously, if you haven’t played it yet then make sure you read our review – and all the DLC released so far, American Wilds is certainly not lacking in content. In fact, with 60 add-ons, 10 sandbox maps, 11 challenging scenarios and more than 30 vehicles, Spintires is packed to the rafters with opportunities to take the biggest off-road vehicles and go mad.
This edition brings 2 brand new sandbox maps in for good measure, with the rough lands of Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota providing a couple of stern tests. Thankfull 7 of the most iconic US trucks from Ford, Hummer and more will help you out a little.
If you fancy hitting the rivers, traversing the muddy terrains and are ready for a bit of a physics lesson – yep, MudRunner vehicles react super realistically to every little change in the ground under their tyres – then American Wilds will deliver. And that’s without mentioning that cooperative multiplayer is also in place for those who like that kind of thing.
