It was originally due to release this month – 21st March 2019 in fact – but today comes news that the teams at BIGBEN and Frogwares have pushed back the release of The Sinking City on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, in order to find a release window that is a little less crowded.

So, if you’re one of the many who have been looking forward to the imminent release of The Sinking City, then disappointment will no doubt be hitting home right about now, as that March launch that was initially promised for the game, is being well left behind.

Instead we will be given the opportunity to head into the 1920s adventure investigation game that has been inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, in June 2019, with a date of 27th June 2019 being confirmed.

This is obviously some way off the March release that we had been hoping for, but in order to provide players with the very best experience, and to release in a slightly less crowded window, that is the decision which has been made. And no matter what you think, that should be respected.

That little trip to Oakmount, Massachusetts and the chance to dip into the life of private detective, Charles, will just have to be put on hold for now. Be sure though, we’ll be reminding you when that June 27th 2019 release of The Sinking City on Xbox One, PS4 and PC takes place. We can’t wait to visit the town and begin to try and understand what the hell is going on with both it, and the minds of its inhabitants! Can you?

If you don’t believe what we are saying, then well, the latest trailer below will confirm your worst thoughts.
