The Surge – The Good, the Bad and the Augmented Expansion now available

-

We may be sitting patiently for The Surge 2 to arrive in 2019, but for now we’ll just have to make do with the brilliance of the original game. And whether you’ve played The Surge or not matters little for right now a decently sized expansion has hit. Are you ready for The Good, the Bad and the Augmented?

Available right now, The Good, the Bad and the Augmented expansion for The Surge drops you into the depths of the CREO facility once more, pushing you to explore each and every corner of the deadly test chambers that are found within.

With a Wild West feel about it, you’ll be tasked with making your way through these training rooms, combining some of the most insane modifiers the game has seen and taking on numerous challengers in the process. It is the latter which come with 30 unique equipment pieces – all of which you can grab for yourself and utilise.

You’ll obviously need the base game of The Surge in place prior to even considering a purchase of The Good, the Bad and the Augmented, but if that is already in place then a digital store near you will sort you out with a download. Us Xbox One gamers will find the Xbox Store allowing access for £7.99. We’ll have a full review of the expansion coming your way soon, but if you wish to know more about the base game then our review of that will sort you out.

DLC Description:

Enter the bowels of the CREO facility and explore an old and abandoned Quality Assurance lab created to push CREO’s tech to the limit. Warren will face Dr. Rischboter’s deadly test chambers that, for some reason, feel like torn straight out of a twisted Wild West TV show! Fight through the mad doctor’s training rooms and try modifying them yourself for increased rewards by combining up to 4 of the 16 insane modifiers available. At the end of each stage, fight against distinct Challengers, powerful opponents forged from the training scenarios who are equipped with 30 unique new equipment pieces – armors, weapons, and implants – that you can take for yourself!”
