Titanic amount of paid DLC arrives for Titanfall 2 alongside Free-to-Play Multiplayer weekend and Colony Reborn DLC

-

It may have had one of the most awkward launch timings we’ve ever seen on console, being wedged between both Battlefield and Call of Duty when it arrived last October, but that doesn’t mean Titanfall 2 hasn’t been doing exceptionally well for itself since breaking onto consoles with its second man vs man and mech vs mech outing.

Whilst it’s certainly refreshing to see all future multiplayer maps set to arrive for free to all players, there was always going to be something that came along asking kindly for some of those hard-earned coins we value so highly. Today marks some more fresh arrivals and it comes in the form of cosmetic applications for those looking to make their Titans and Pilots stand out from the crowd. But it isn’t all a need for greed as the new content is here just in time for the arrival of the Reborn Colony DLC that has also arrived today for as a free update.

Those who have already taken a look on the Xbox Game Store today will have noticed as many as ten new arrivals for Titanfall 2. Of course, there is an all-in-one bundle available to save those with an eager lust for customisables the heartache of purchasing each pack individually, with the Titanfall 2: Colony Reborn Bundle coming in at £19.99. To some that may sound like a rather steep price, so here is a low down of what you can find in the bundle and indeed individual purchases at prices ranging between £1.59 and £3.99 each.

First up is the Legion Prime and Northstar Prime DLC’s. Each of these DLCs bring a new chassis to both the respective Titan’s Legion and Northstar. Both content drops come with new sound effects as well as a devastating execution to help crush enemy Titan’s in style.

Next up is the arrival of several Art Packs. These include packs for the Ronin, Tone, Legion, Northstar, Scorch and Ion Titans. Each of these include five new Nose Arts for each of the various Titans, as well an exclusive Warpaint skin to help bring the fear to your mechanized opponents.

Next up is the Colony Reborn Camo Pack bringing 20 new and exclusive Camos that can be applied to every Titan, Titan Weapon, Pilot and Pilot Weapon to drop a unique and fresh look from what can be found in the Titanfall 2 base game.

The final paid DLC brings the Colony Reborn Callsign Pack to Xbox, giving instant access to 20 new and exclusive Callsigns and 10 Callsign patches to help make that player profile really stand out amongst the rest.

That’s not all of course, as today also sees the arrival of the previously mentioned Colony Reborn DLC which arrives for all players in a free update. This contains a new map – an updated return to the famous Titanfall map found in Respawn Interactive’s original shooter that fans will know all too well – a new version of the R-101 assault rifle that comes attached with an ACOG scope for improved accuracy, and the new Curb Check Execution for the ultimate in stylish assassination.

There are also patches to help with stability and various other fixes in place to help maintain the stable gameplay we have become accustomed to since the launch back in October. Anyone looking to get in on some Titanfall 2 action can do so for free this weekend with the free play weekend now available to all players on Xbox One and ending April 2nd.

Finally – yes there is one more thing – from today March 30th to April 2nd there will be Double XP for all players to coincide with the free play weekend, something which should bode well for both newcomers and veterans alike on the rise to become a Generation 10 pilot.

So, there we have it, everything you can expect to find for Titanfall 2 on both the free and paid side of things. Will you be jumping in with a purchase on any of the latest content? Or will you be looking to make the most of the free play weekend to get to grips with Respawn’s explosive shooter? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels.
