The third expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division is now here. Are you ready to take the Last Stand?
Available right now, either as part of the Season Pass or as a, £11.99 standalone purchase, Last Stand is the latest expansion for The Division and has arrived as a simultaneous Xbox One, PS4 and PC release.
It tells the tale of a Dark Zone that has spiralled out of control, leaving the Joint Task Force no choice but to withdraw from the area. In their haste though they left behind important tactical terminals, terminals which are now seeing rogue agents close on in. It’ll be up to you to join a team of seven others and head off on a mission to prevent that from happening, ensuring that The Division agents regain control.
Last Stand also introduces players to a new way of experiencing the Dark Zone with a session-based adversarial game mode featuring clear objectives and win conditions, all whilst incorporating key elements of the Dark Zone such as PvE enemies and landmarks. Players will be on a team of eight Division agents fighting against a team of Rogue agents as they attempt to capture the tactical terminals. Last Stand will also include a new incursion, Stolen Signal.
Running alongside this latest expansion, Ubisoft are also releasing a free trial, allowing those who haven’t dropped in on The Division the chance to do so for nothing. In it, you’ll get six hours of playtime, or the opportunity to reach level 8 (whichever comes first), after which your stats will be transferred to the main game – should of course you wish to purchase it.
Additionally, the free Update 1.6 releases to all players, and provides robust, new content for existing players including an expanded Dark Zone map with three new areas unlocked, new Contamination events that take place in an underground location in the Dark Zone, new exotic weapons and landmarks, Dark Zone leaderboards, and the new Legendary mode which provides an increased challenge for the top players of Tom Clancy’s The Division.
