Tough as hell 2D platformer GoNNER brings roguelike mechanics to Xbox One

-

Death is your mentor in GoNNER – BLüEBERRY EDiTION, and that in itself tells you everything you need to know about this procedurally generated 2D platformer!

Available right now on Xbox One, GoNNER – BLüEBERRY EDiTION from Raw Fury sees you take on the role of Ikk, as he heads off on an adventure to find his only friend, Sally – a landbound whale. Obviously.

An ever changing world will be thrust towards Ikk and this comes with a host of foes who really don’t like Ikk or Sally. Thankfully this is where Ikk can start his fight and with a whole host of abilities and a huge arsenal, the tough bosses won’t stand a chance.

Hidden secrets, multiple endings and more are all present and this should mean that anyone delving into the world of GoNNER – BLüEBERRY EDiTION and Ikk should find a rather decent journey ahead. The £7.99 requested from the Xbox Store most certainly makes it a tempting proposition. Just remember that Death will be overlooking your every move!

Will you be tackling the procedurally generated worlds of GoNNER – BLüEBERRY EDiTION? Let us know in the comments.

Game Description:

GoNNER is a tough as hell procedurally-generated 2D platformer with roguelike elements, following the largely misunderstood and altruistic Ikk on a journey to cheer up his only friend in this world—a giant landbound whale named Sally—by searching for just the right trinket in the deep and dark places nearby. With Death as his mentor, supplying both a multitude of abilities and arsenal for Ikk to use, Ikk traverses an ever-changing land full of unwieldy creatures who don’t appreciate his trespassing or his friend Sally. Procedurally-generated environments, arduous bosses, hidden secrets, multiple endings, and more await Ikk on his journey to make one person happy even if it kills him—which it certainly will. Don’t lose your head!
