Train Sim World Rhein-Ruhr Osten

Train sim enthusiasts, prepare for your interest to be piqued with the latest DLC for Train Sim World 2020 as it’s taking us to Germany. All aboard for the Wuppertal – Hagen route!

Train Sim World 2020 welcomes its first split track in the form of the Rhein-Ruhr Osten: Wuppertal – Hagen DLC, which includes the S8 S-Bahn and the Main Line between the two stations. The route will diverge shortly after leaving Hagen, giving you the freedom of choice between carrying passengers along the bustling, riverside S8 S-Bahn for classic stopping-service operations or hauling freight along the urban Main Line. The route then merges again near Schwelm, before continuing down to Wuppertal. As you journey along the Wupper river towards your destination, be sure to take in the sights; especially the elevated Schwebebahn, a stunning suspended rail system.

The DB BR 422 train joins the Train Sim World roster, offering a brand new experience for players to enjoy. Meanwhile, the more familiar BR 185.5 is now freshly decked out in a striking MRCE livery, proudly hauling newly licensed Sggmrss container wagons with authentic Hamburg Sud and Hapag-Lloyd branding. Cross-compatibility with other German Train Sim World add-ons is also now possible, so the most avid gamers will benefit from more scenarios and the ability to swap locomotives on certain services.

Getting your hands on the gloriously recreated trains and environments in the Train Sim World: Rhein-Ruhr Osten: Wuppertal – Hagen DLC on Xbox One doesn’t come cheap though, with a cost of £24.99 being the required fee to acquire it from the Xbox Store. For those of you playing on PlayStation 4 and PC, a visit to your own respective digital store is the best plan of action.

So, who’s off to the Germany?
