We brought news of the release date for Truck Driver back in May, but now SOEDESCO have detailed a three-part mini-series that will showcase some of the game’s main features. First up is an episode focused on several characters that the player meets along their journey in Truck Driver. Would you like to meet them?
In Truck Driver, a new chapter in your life begins when you inherit a truck from your father. Taking a chance, you move to a new city and here, it’s up to you to make a name for yourself, earning the respect of the local community as you go. Prepare to drive through a seamless open world, work with all kinds of people ranging from a constructor to a lumberjack and, ultimately, honour your father by making it as a Truck Driver.
The locals are a crucial part of being successful, because without them, there’s no work. You see, as players explore the community in Truck Driver, they’ll encounter several of the local residents who all have their reasons to need the services of a trucker – even an inexperience one like yourself. Each of these characters has their own story and motivations too. They’ll give the player a variety of missions involving all sorts of cargo that need to be transported; if you’re up to the task, of course.
Part one of the Truck Driver mini-series introduces players to some of these characters, such as lumberjack Sven, rivalling siblings Iona and Andrei, and successful entrepreneur David. In the coming weeks, two more episodes will be released that cover the ‘Jobs and Missions’ as well as the ‘Customization System’ in Truck Driver. Be sure to give episode one a watch as it won’t take up too much of your time, then try and keep the excitement levels under wraps until it launches on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 come 19th September, 2019 – with a PC launch occurring a tad later on 11th November, 2019.
