Unravel is an intriguing one. Not only does it look like it’ll be something pretty special, but its release date has been up in the air for some time. Well now, the intrigue deepens further as Unravel becomes available for digital download on Xbox One.

Still without a confirmed release date, the blurb on the Xbox Games Store just states that it will be playable from 12:01 on the release date. Seeing as we usually get told the exact date whenever a pre-order opens, the whole story about Unravel just continues to slowly, um…unravel!

The release date for Unravel has now been confirmed as Feb 9th 2016.

Anyways, if you fancy getting your digital pre-order and pre-download in now, Unravel is ready to be grabbed for £14.99. EA Access members get the usual 10% discount on that price, bringing it right down to £13.49.

We will of course keep you completely up to date with any further info, including a conformed release date as and when we have it. For now though, get over to the Xbox One Games Store pronto.

Game Description:

Unravel introduces Yarny, a new, lovable and endearing character made from a single thread of yarn, that slowly unravels as you move.  Inspired by the unique and breath-taking environments of Northern Scandinavia, Unravel is a visually stunning, physics-based puzzle platformer. Using yarn to Swing from tree branch to tree branch or hitch a ride on a flying kite, no feat is too big. Yarny is brought to life as the representation of the ties that bind loved-ones together.  Embark with Yarny on a seemingly larger than life adventure to reconnect the long-lost memories of a family. Told completely without words, experience an exciting and heartfelt story about love, hope and the journey of life.
