War Thunder rumbles on to Xbox One with multiple Access Bundles

-

War Thunder promises to be the most comprehensive free-to-play MMO military title in existence, allowing gamers across the globe the chance to take in the wonders of the war over land, air and at sea. Today we see War Thunder finally arrive on Xbox One – although if you want to get involved right now, you will have to get in a purchase of one of a number of bundles.

The free-to-ply launch of War Thunder isn’t quite here, but should you be willing to spend a few quid, will find that access opens up immediately with three different bundles available for war veterans to enjoy.

A game with more than 1000 vehicles and over 80 maps may well seem tempting enough, but drop in the promise of intense PvP full scale missions, further PvE content and regular content updates and you’ll quickly begin to understand how and why War Thunder should be on your radar.

Like mentioned, you will however need to initially pay for the privilege and depending on how deep you wish to go with the whole experience, will find a number of options now available.

The Standard Early Access Starter Bundle is the cheapest at £15.99, bringing with it an exclusive Light tank M5A1 Stuart of 5th Canadian Armored Division (Rank 2 USA); Thach’s F2A-1 Buffalo aircraft (Rank 1, USA); Premium account for 15 days; 2000 Golden Eagles; 120000 Silver Lions; Pre-order bonus: unique title “Steel General”; and the Pre-order bonus of a unique decal “Slouch hat”.

From there we can move up to the Advanced Bundle for £44.99 with this delivering the same exclusive Light tank M5A1 Stuart of 5th Canadian Armored Division (Rank 2 USA); Thach’s F2A-1 Buffalo aircraft (Rank 1, USA), but also a further Xbox One exclusive Chrysler XM-1 tank (Rank 5 USA); Xbox One exclusive F4U-4B Corsair aircraft of VMF-514 (Rank 4 USA); Premium account for 45 days; 5000 Golden Eagles; 120000 Silver Lions; Early access bonus: unique title “Steel General”; Early access bonus: unique decal “Slouch hat”; Early access bonus: unique title “Whispering Death”; Early access bonus: unique decal “11th Armored Cavalry Regiment”; Early access bonus: unique title “Sea robber”; Early access bonus: unique decal “The Mad Cossack”.

And then we have the biggy – the Elite bundle for £64.99. If you want the very best War Thunder experience, then this is the one for you with all of the following included… Early access to the game – play earlier than official launch; Xbox One exclusive Light tank M5A1 Stuart of 5th Canadian Armored Division (Rank 2 USA); Thach’s F2A-1 Buffalo aircraft (Rank 1, USA); Xbox One exclusive Chrysler XM-1 tank (Rank 5 USA); Xbox One exclusive F4U-4B Corsair aircraft of VMF-514 (Rank 4 USA);
Xbox One exclusive Fletcher class destroyer USS Bennion (Rank 3 USA); Premium account for 60 days; 7000 Golden Eagles; 120000 Silver Lions; Early access bonus: unique title “Steel General”; Early access bonus: unique decal “Slouch hat”; Early access bonus: unique title “Whispering Death”; Early access bonus: unique decal “11th Armored Cavalry Regiment”; Early access bonus: unique title “Sea robber”; Early access bonus: unique decal “The Mad Cossack”.

Edit: Purchasing one of these Founder’s Packs will also give access to the new War Thunder Naval Battles Closed Beta that sets sail today on all platforms and concludes Gaijin Entertainment’s goal to combine all aspects of warfare (air, land, and sea) into one cohesive game, thereby creating the most realistic battle formula ever. War Thunder Naval Battles brings warships into the fight, from patrol torpedo boats up to powerful cruisers. Combined with air battles, gamers must keep an eye out for death coming from both the sky and the sea.

Initially, War Thunder Naval Battles Closed Beta will feature USA and Germany nations. Players will have almost 50 warships at their disposal and research trees that feature a new progression system, allowing players to quickly unlock the type of ship they want to play first.
