Warlocks 2: God Slayers gets Xbox One, PS4, Switch and Steam release windows

-

The crazy warlocks are coming and it’ll soon be time to team up with friends and take on the gods who have been left spreading chaos through the multiverse. But when will Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC players get the opportunity to do all this in Warlocks 2: God Slayers? Well, the release windows have just been confirmed!

Coming from Fat Dog Games and Frozen District, Warlocks 2: God Slayers is a 2D co-operative ARPG combining a retro aesthetic with fresh hack ‘n’ slash mechanics. Letting you choose from 5 warlocks, and going toe-to-toe with more than 40 enemy types, hitting up 45 upgradable abilities and equipping 120 items in a side-scrolling fast paced combat fuelled adventure, it promises to be something that many will have an eye on.

And those eyes will need to be firmly trained to October, as that is when a Switch and PC release will be occurring. Those of us grabbing the Xbox One and PS4 controllers though will need to hold tight a bit longer – Q1 2019 in fact.

Delivering (or at least promising to deliver) tight gameplay, gut-busting pop culture references and hundreds of procedurally generated sidequests spread across three worlds depicted in hand-animated, retro-styled art, whether you wish to go it alone or team up with friends, Warlocks 2 will sort you out.

“Warlocks 2 presents an exhilarating spread of multidimensional travel, side-scrolling adventure and hack ‘n’ slash combat,” said Krzysztof Krej, chairman of the board, Frozen District. “It’s the perfect blend of humor and action to share with friends.”

For now, watch the trailer below, then sit back and wait for even more confirmation as news surrounding the cemented release dates arrives.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
