…and that’s a wrap, as E3 is done and dusted for another year! But what were the best Xbox One news, reviews, opinions and videos that hit TheXboxHub’s pages over the last 7 days? Well, if you couldn’t guess, E3 announcements were the order of the day and the following are our favourite articles from between the 12th-18th June 2016.

Do you agree?

Hands-On Impressions of FIFA 17, Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2.

When EA come into town and invite you along to their live show and a chance to go hands-on with a number of their new games, you don’t turn the opportunity down. So we didn’t and we accepted the invite to EA Play with open arms.

Was the show any good? Well, not only did we get to experience a first for EA by partaking in their live show, but the hands on time we experienced with FIFA 17, Madden 17, Titanfall 2 and the stupidly awesome Battlefield 1 ensured that it was a night to remember and that when the new games release, players will be guaranteed a great time.

After spending a decent amount of time with all the games at the show, we just had to get our thoughts down in writing. You can check out our impressions of FIFA 17, Titanfall 2 and, of course, Battlefield 1 on the links provided. You won’t want to miss them!

Rock Band 4 was wanted by a huge number of fans around the world and for the most part, it delivered in spades.

But never ones to rest on their laurels, Harmonix are ensuring that Rock Band will just get better and better as they prepare for the launch of the new Rivals expansion. Working with their friends and ours, PDP, Rock Band Rivals will release this autumn with new features, new hardware and a new price point – if you’re after a new stunning guitar to rock out with then this looks to be the expansion for you as the new Fender Jaguar looks great.

…or you could take the full Rock Band Rivals Band Kit which brings the guitar, some drums, a mic and more. For a price of course!

Each year Ubisoft promise a ton of new game announcements at E3 and each year they deliver. This time round, at E3 2016, Ubisoft dropped a release date for Ghost Recon Wildlands and Watch Dogs 2, initial shouts surrounding the unmistakable new South Park game and tempted us in further with new details regarding Steep, For Honor, Grow Up and the first major expansion to The Division – Underground.

If truth be told though, it was the addition of a brand new title that got us really excited as Trials of the Blood Dragon has mixed the usual Trials franchise with the brilliant style of Blood Dragon…throwing in an actual story and releasing it on the day of announcement just ensured that we had to take a little look.

You should check it out right now.

The Crew now free to download on Xbox One

Grab your Xbox Live Gold membership and head on over to the Xbox Games Store right now as the Xbox Games With Gold scheme is giving away games.

Available right now for free are both The Crew (Xbox One) and XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Xbox 360 and Xbox One). Stripped of their usual price tags, both games can be picked up between now and the end of the month – in the case of The Crew, even further than that – and all Xbox Live Gold members should ensure they go and snap them up immediately.

Whilst we wouldn’t expect either game to drag in anyone who wasn’t already slightly tempted to pick them up, they aren’t bad offerings at all and with The Crew especially having gone through a number of improvements since its original release, anyone looking for a new game should be checking it out pronto.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
