The latest Xbox Live Deals With Gold sale is now in place and whilst last week may have seen a huge number of discounts, this coming week is a much more limited affair. In fact, unless you’re Call of Duty mad, then Xbox 360 owners will struggle to find anything worth checking out. Xbox One owners on the other hand have a couple of titles that are worthy of a purchase.
Let us tell you which are the best and worst deals on the table between the 10th-16th May 2016.
Grab – No Time To Explain – 50% off – £6.00
If you need some mindless, completely random fun then No Time To Explain delivers just that.
At half price, it really should be something that you nail down on your purchase list…if only to fill the time when you’re bored at the weekend.
It brings comedy, it brings platforming and it brings a mighty huge cannon that doubles up as an awesome jetpack as you travel through time and space in an attempt to catch up and sort out your ‘future self’. It all works rather well and even though there are some slightly dodgy controlling mechanics in place, for £6 is more than worth a look.
Tempter – Elite Dangerous – 50% off – £15.00
We’re throwing Elite Dangerous in here as the £15 it currently costs to download is definitely more than tempting.
Whether you’re one of those who can look back with fondness at the joy Elite delivered many decades ago, or just fancy getting involved in some intergalactic space travel, then Dangerous should be something to check out. Admittedly, the new Horizons version that will soon be arriving may just usurp the original game, but for £15 you’ll be hard pressed to find anything that will consume your life as much as Elite will.
Leave – EA SPORTS Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR – 60% off – £12.00
Yet again the EA titles are well worth ignoring for the sole reason that an EA Access pass is considerably better value than snapping up a single title. The £12 on offer for EA’s latest golf title may on paper look okay, but the game itself is a bit lacking in critical areas (especially if you had previously dined on the Tiger Woods series) and so the smart money goes on a £20 payment to the EA Access scheme, giving you access to the game alongside a whole ton of others.
If you like the look of the stuff above and decide to grab something, we’d love it if you could tell us what you pick up in the comments below. If you’re serious about saving even more cash, then you may wish to head on over to CDKeys and pick up some cheap Xbox Live credit first.
